Vishal Subramanyan is a wildlife photographer who captures some really beautiful photos. Earlier this month, Subramanyan recounted a time he noticed a coyote that made him do a double take. Did it have two heads? No, it was carrying one thing—a severed deer head. Subramanyan says it was a very sudden encounter, one he expertly caught on camera. He posted the picture to Instagram to share together with his viewers of almost 60k.
“A number of years in the past, an early morning summer season hike changed into a sequence of sudden encounters with a typical theme – canids with uncommon prey gadgets,” Subramanyan wrote in his caption. “The primary encounter occurred within the early morning, simply because the solar was rising over the hills. A coyote ran throughout a small ridge with prey in his mouth. With the gap and solar behind him, it was troublesome to inform what the prey was – my preliminary ideas have been a rabbit or the leg of a cow. However as I raised my digicam and took an image – I noticed it was the top of a deer.”
Subramanyan guesses the coyote could have taken the deer head from a mountain lion that took down the deer. Or possibly the deer died of pure causes and the coyote scavenged the top from the carcass. Regardless, it’s an interesting picture displaying a uncommon second in nature.
“Each time I’m feeling hesitant to exit – I take into consideration today, and the sudden moments that nature may give us,” Subramanyan wrote. “It all the time evokes me to step exterior and see what extra fascinating encounters I can have.”
We love that outlook. You simply by no means know what experiences you’re going to have once you step open air.
