A black bear stole a pumpkin from a front porch in Connecticut in broad daylight, and home-security footage caught the crime on film. ABC News shared the video on YouTube just in time for Halloween.

In the video, you see a large black bear saunter up to a family’s front porch. It investigates the gourd, poking at it with its large paw and then taking a bite out of it. After deciding it would make for a tasty snack, the bear snatches the pumpkin and walks off with it, presumably to enjoy the treat off camera.
The Connecticut family may be short one pumpkin for Halloween this year, but at least they have a great story to tell, thanks to their home security camera!
